Wikipedia defines journalism as "the craft of conveying news, descriptive material and comment via media including newspapers, magazines, radio, television, mobile phone and the internet". Yes journalism is all about conveying news and information to the masses. Why then do the media outlets around the world pick and chose themes that suit their own ideology or specific line of thinking? If true journalism is about conveying facts to the end public, then why do they need to transfer only those facts that they themselves want the people to know?
