University Education leads to your future, but sometime, University course seems too much and it's hard for you to choose what kind of degree or major you want to be in.

in fact, University give out such variety of courses, you can study in some field you, as a normal person, would find ridiculous to study. Here are the top 5 of strangest/weirdest course you can study and earn a degree in colleges around the world

Number 5 : Bachelor of Fine Arts, in Costume
Organisation : NIDA (national institute of dramatic arts), Sydney Australia
Qualification : Bachelor

At first glance, it may seems a strange choice for a degree, who would spend 3 years to study, well, costume...But when you read the brief from NIDA, it is not just how to make costume (which you can get from a diploma in dressmaking) But it also included periodic history and the historical influence on the costume itself. So it may seems strange, but 3 years was actually worth it.

NIDA - Costume

Number 4 : Doctorate of Philosophy (PhD) in UFOlogy
Organisation : University of Melbourne, Melbourne Australia
Qualification : PhD

LOL, well, I want to believe this is not true, but in 2008, the University of Melbourne have granted the first PhD in Ufology to Martin Plowman after 4 years of research in the field of UFO.
Dr. Martin Plowman, PhD UFO, need I say more?

Dr who? Why, it's Martin Plowman, PhD UFO

Number 3 : Graduate Studies in Horticulture
Organisation : Mississippi State University, USA
Qualification : Graduate Diploma

Horticulture, seems legit, but when you try to use a dictionary and look up what is Horticulture, you will find that horticulture is nothing more than floristry. Basically, you spend 9 months of your time, learn how to glow flower and arrange the soil so it will maximise the growth. Nothing about how to arrange the flower tho. Kind of disappointing.

Graduate Studies/Horticulture - Plant & Soil Sciences - Mississippi State University

Number 2 : Master of Arts in the Beatles, popular Music and Society

Organisation : Liverpool Hope University, the UK
Qualification : Master

Who does not like Beatles, their music inspire a whole generation of musician, But to an extend to confer a Master degree over it? Does it seems kind of extreme? I mean, how long it takes to learn John, Ringo, Paul and the other dude?

The Beatles, Popular Music and Society (MA) - Liverpool Hope University

Number 1 : Master/Graduate Diploma of Sexology
Organisation : Curtain University, Perth, Australia
Qualification : Graduate Diploma, Master

If the last 4 does not jump your gun, this one will most definitely will. A study of Sex, and i's not just sex as we knows it. but In a way you study sex via Counselling, Education and Research. Well, I don't know what would happen to the first 2, but the third one seems interesting, quoting Curtain university Website

Astrobiology
You don't have to believe in UFOs to search for life in space. Astrobiology students are involved in the complex study of life in the Universe. It is still considered an emerging field, so there is room for students to be involved in exciting new discoveries. Students at the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute can take advantage of the New York Center for Astrobiology. The University of Washington is another school offering an astrobiology department.

Puppetry

Students at the University of Connecticut can spend their days training to be the next Kermit the Frog or Oscar the Grouch. Offered by the school since 1964, puppetry has been a staple of UConn's Dramatic Arts department. Among the classes puppetry students must complete are introductory classes in costuming, lighting and scenery, as well as courses in marionette performance and construction. Students can earn both bachelor's and master’s degrees in puppetry at UConn.

Professional nanny

Kentucky's Sullivan University offers a 12-month program that allows students to earn a professional nanny diploma, a certificate from the American Council of Nanny Schools, and CPR and first-aid certifications. Students learn infant-care techniques, model etiquette and manners, and how to prepare nutritious meals and communicate effectively with parents and children. Classes offered in the nanny program include "Safety and Nutrition," "Family Systems" and "Infant Care."

Bowling Industry Management
Vincennes University offers a degree in Bowling Industry Management. Students in the program learn the practical matters of running a bowling center, everything from lane care and pinsetter mechanics to human resources and customer service.

I've had some friends who graduated the Ph.D program the same time as I did; and some of them (mind you they were already registered nurses) went on to a 4 year program -- the DNP program (Doctorate in Nursing Practice). So i even joked with them about their being "Noctors" (Nurse + Doctor). Sad to say that i was chastized for making jokes, lol. But its cool tho, I suppose the DNP program has something to do with the vision of the IOM (institute of medicine) for 2015 to enable all their Nurse Practitioners who have masteral level education to now be doctorate trained.

So many changes in the health and caring professions.

And yes, so much $$$ as well, lol.

I want to be Batman, which college I should enroll in?

Dude, you want to make money?

Nursing.

Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners are now averaging $135k - $150k per year (mind you this is just 1 job). Take a 2nd job partime, and easily bank over $200k.

Amazing and interesting,
The problem is that we don't recognize that things that appears to be non serious are knowledge themselves. For example keeping kids at home and handling them with respect to their psychology. We humans don't realize that how much care and respect we needed. In this century, the industrialization and modernism have surely strengthened and empowered people, specifically women. However, they are and even men as whole are forgetting the basic foundation of human lives. It's tricky that certain beneficial mutations have consequences as well, like medicine
