One of my relatives who is a doctor prescribed ovral -21 for my wife to use for 3 months to get pregnancy..when I looked up info about it on net, I found that it prevents pregnancy by blocking the release of egg..my wife said that he has prescribed the same tablet for many women thereby blocking periods for 3 months and later when they got periods, they got pregnant in the next month immediately.

Can you people tell me whether his experiment is something which other doctors follow? Is his experiment dangerous? Can I allow my wife to take those tablets?
