Following all the threads takes a long time. Here are some rules I use to skip or skim over posts.

- if the topic is about country A and all the thanks are from country B, skip/skim.
- long paragraph with no punctuation, skip.
- not in english, skim
- very long post, skip
- some posters, skip (I don't use ignore lists)
- some posters, skim

.
I have better Idea

I just stick to my favorite sections and rather ignore whatever going on other places.

Visit the thread of your choice and ignore other threads... you will save a lot of time this way :D

.
I skip-
Because i hate bullet points-
Not comprehensive enough-

I Skim-
Any post more than 5 lines-
Too much Conjunction-

.
use only pm options that will take loads off the threads.

.
I just visit threads and read from member who are trust worthy in the sense they arent trolling (Rare :P )

.

I tend to make long posts. Sometimes, you cannot back something up without evidence. Skipping longer posts makes the experience one of simply swallowing sound bites and one-liners... no meat to it.

But you've got to have paragraphs, and logical separations of thoughts.

Just ignore threads started by trolls or posters with the intention of flaming..it saves time and temper

.
1)every sensible member should avoid replying to known TROLLS..the day we start do that they TROLLS will starve to death.
2)every countries senior members should discourage young trollers from their own side..that will help a lot.

Think he probably meant overly long articles. There are some very lengthy journal articles on history I want to share but won't because people are going to be put off by the length.

I only see the latest posts section on the bottom of the forum page. I have now stopped looking into threads containg pictures as it takes ages to open it. This new forum is alot slower than the old one.
