actully the logic of not having drones, is justyfy with germany, with 99,000 man army & no conflict in sight, sure they dont need that?
but countries like AFGHANISTAN, PAKISTAN , IRAQ with worst hit by terrorism OR EVEN SOME OF SOUTH AMERICAN COUNTRIES hving drug lords , drones hve proven thier worth , by taking out biggest of terrorist on earth?

Drone strikes are one key factor which are helping terrorism and extremism to grow in Pakistan,as well as giving TTP an objective and reasons to justify their actions to continue insurgencies.
@jazzbot,none of us are favouring drone strikes,infact I am one of those who have spoken against it loud and clear,as well as I have represented the demerits of drone strikes in my analysis.
I appreciate Mr.Khan's point of view in this regard,despite of that fact that my point of view contradicts with his point of view in case of peace settlement with these outfits....but well,this is the beauty of 'democracy' :p

PA is clever,they can do it on their own,but they aren't,and I tell you why?
We know that drone strikes give maximum damage to the targeted area,killing civilIan along with terrorists,without differentiation.
If PA will target on their own,and civilians are then gonna die with our own hands,then PA will lost support of people,and whole hatered will be directed towards our PA.
But when we say US to do so,the talibans are thus deviated from PA ,and whole pressure is faced by US.
now what is American objective here?well we know that they want to target 'Haqqani network' so that after their departure,Pakistan is left with no bridge to have peace settlement with Afghan taliban,and ended up like Iraq-Iran.
Thus the story is much complicated as it appears,our interests and that of US are mingled,both of us are in a situation to tolerate disadvantages to get some 'benifits'
So,this chess game of politics is much complicated,I have faith on Allah,and after that PA,I trust them and I know that whatever step they will take has some hidden objectives..so as I have stated earlier...
'If we need to play gambit,then we will...as right now,the greatest need of an hour is to get rid of these foreign funded elements,which are no longer in our control'

is not the very reason why they use drone is to carefully take out specific target (compared to what a fighter plane can do)
