Well certainly things in many industries will come to a complete standstill.

However in terms of "surviving" I think when we all have sufficient solar panels and home batteries it wont be too bad if the utility companies suddenly all go offline due to over-reliance.

There's going to be a day when batteries will be cheap and made of a material that you can hang on the walls.

Solar panels will come on rolls like Syran wrap.

If you mean that it won't be worldwide, you're right. But it does support all standard protocols like HTTP, HTTPS, SMTP, POP3, etc. It will keep banks, schools, academic institutions, e-government, online businesses, industries and Iranian websites online if Iran gets cut off the internet.

If they can shut the whole thing off, they can spy on the whole thing too. Meaning VPNs are useless, NSAs Tor is useless. You would have to hide in a VPN using a VPN to maybe have some privacy.

Internet can work like a intranet if USA switch off, but if everybody uses Google, Facebook, Whatsapp, Instagram, Twitter... (USA companies), Internet can't work without USA.

And specially Youtube... what non-USA company could afford pay the large amount of bandwidth that it use a web like youtube... only with adverstising incomes? Youtube can exists in USA, because USA goverment / deep state uses Internet companies to spy whole world, by security, trending predictions (imagine the worth of that information in wall street), etc...
