The Great Indian October Fest or TGIOF is festival of music, beer, and entertainment that has been held every October in Bangalore, India, since 2005. Hosted by Kingfisher, it is a three-day event; offering activities including: music, food, shopping, an auto show, and a dedicated pavilion for competitive gaming.[citation needed] Inspired by the German Oktoberfest, TGIOF is one of many Oktoberfest celebrations held world-wide. The festival hosts international and Indian musicians from a variety of genres. Besides the music performances, TGIOF's other activities include a food, automotive, art and flea market events.

The mosh pit beckons!I love the sounds of the Motherjane,Pentagram(so much better when they are live),Scribe and the usual international acts that follow.My only complaint,KF lager is just too weak to stomach!

Get a life....its held mainly for beer lovers....its not about copying their traditions...its obvious everybody cannot afford to go to germany to experience this hence its conducted here...since the incredible and indigenous pakistanis are mostly not beer drinkers and will not understand it. I cant wait for the next years fest..this time it was awesome.
