let's just go by the numbers, but most of it's speculation and conjecture, but what the heck.

North American Arctic- 58 billion barrels of oil, and 146 billions total equivalent of oil when you add in Natural Gas.
EIA - Arctic Oil and Natural Gas Potential

Canada- 170 to 200 billion barrels

U.S- 36 billion as of now, could become as high as TWO TRILLION with tight oil/oil shale
U.S. oil reserves continue rising, surpass 36 billion barrels for first time since 1975 - Today in Energy - U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA)
U.S. Oil Reserves, Resources, and Unlimited Future Supply - Forbes

Venzuela-300 billion mostly in heavy oil in the Orinoco belt
Venezuela Passes Saudis to Hold World’s Biggest Oil Reserves - Bloomberg Business

Brazil- right now about 15 billion barrels, but offshore in the pre-salt could increase this to over 50+ billion barrels

of course these countries can't compete with OPEC in getting the oil of the ground for cheap, but with new technology and techniques they are getting closer

and they are all in deep debt.

but with a instable Middle East, this might be one of the safest supplies for oil in the future.

This will have major ramification on World economy and Geo-Politics.

With abundant oil, USA would ultimately detach itself from ME and its space would be taken by China and India.

China and India meanwhile are investing majorly in C.Asia and Russia for oil too, to become less dependent on ME.

Loss of USA and its insatiable demand for Oil, would lessen American influence and interference which can be seen as mixed blessing.

No one will be there to keep the Arabs in check but loss of Petro-Dollars would make it less likely that they would be able to promote extremist version of Islam.

Has fracking so far had any impact on agriculture due to soil contamination in the USA?

of course he has had an impact. how bad is another question.
A bad week for fracking, another black eye for natural gas

i would be more worried about waste runoff from farms.

if we could get every 1 in 4 cars running on CNG that would get us off Middle East oil or at least put a big dent in it.

buy yeah China and India is going to soak up what oil we don't buy from OPEC.
