. . .
Quantity but not quality.

All you need is the quality to be above everybody else and you'll stay ahead in sales

Tesla isn't the best. If I'm not mistaken, Zeekr 001 has more power than Tesla.

What does power have to do with Best?

Besides shouldn't we be talking about sales success...a car could have 50,000hp but if only a handful sells a year that pretty much makes it irrelevant.

Tesla's new viral video, you no longer have to leave the house to walk your dog.

The software superiority that keeps Tesla in a privileged position in the market, and in fact, they marketing it really well.

Either FSD Beta or the guy in the other car has his finger on the Smart Summon and the car is chasing him.

Tesla is bland. Bland sells. Toyota sells a lot because it is bland. Same with Tesla. Best seller is usually not the most stylish or the best performing.

Being very stylish but having low sales is not going to keep a large company is business.

Tesla deserves credit for introducing high-performance Electric Vehicles (EV), making EV mainstream and worth buying.

Earlier EV experiments had failed.

Quantity but not quality.
Tesla is addressing this problem.

Demand had increased manifold and Tesla manufacturing practices were under lot of stress consequently. They are implementing some changes in manufacturing processes to address build quality concerns.

Tesla's world domination is not far off. This UK stat is for all cars...not just electric. Tesla Model Y #1, Tesla Model 3 #1 in sales for March.

Tesla Model Y edges out sibling Model 3 to win UK’s Best Seller for March

The Tesla Model Y beat out its sibling electric vehicle, the Model 3, in the United Kingdom’s automotive sales figures for March.

The Model Y sold 6,464 times, beating the Model 3 by just seven units, as the sedan sold 6,457 vehicles in March. The Model Y and Model 3 are neck-and-neck in Year-to-Date sales in the United Kingdom as well. Ranking sixth and seventh, respectively, the Model Y has 7,774 sales, and the Model 3 has just one fewer delivery with 7,773.

The UK’s Tesla presence will likely expand in the coming months and years, especially as the automaker’s newest factory, which is located in Germany, is now active. The European production facility, known as Gigafactory Berlin, will initially provide customers in Europe and surrounding regions with Model Y vehicles. Tesla received ultimate approval from government agencies to begin production and deliveries at the plant in March.

As for the battery electric vehicle market in the UK, growth continues to trend upward. Through March, electric powertrains have been sold 64,165 times, a 101.9 percent increase from the same span in 2021. By March 2021, the UK had sold 31,779, according to data from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders.

Tesla tops Norway’s sales charts in March as EVs account for 86% of all car sales

New figures show that Tesla continues to dominate electric vehicle (EV) sales in Norway, continuing a trend that saw them become the best-selling car brand last year.

The figures also show that internal combustion engine (ICE) cars sales are quickly fading to zero in the Nordic country.

Data published by the Norwegian Information Council for Road Traffic (OFV) shows the Model Y and Model 3 were the top selling cars in March.

The Model Y came in first accumulating 3,305 sales, followed by the Model 3 with 1,696 sales, giving the two EVs a combined market share of 30.8%.

Rounding out the top three was the VW ID.3, which registered 1,111 sales for a 6.8% market share for the month.

Tesla will sell electric cars in the Middle East

The automaker announced on Monday that its first official venture in the Middle East will be in the United Arab Emirates.

The first cars – the Model S and Model X – will hit the streets this summer.

“The timing seems good to really make a meaningful debut in this region starting in Dubai,” Tesla (TSLA) That’s what CEO Elon Musk said at the World Government Summit in Dubai.

Tesla owners have access to two existing Supercharger stations in the UAE, and Telsa plans to open five more by the end of the year.

Despite sitting on vast oil and gas reserves, the UAE has ambitious plans to go green. Last month it said it would invest $163 billion to boost alternative energy use over the next three decades.

It’s the latest in a series of expansion announcements for Tesla. Last week, Musk hinted that Tesla could be coming to India soon.

Musk has also teased plans for building “heavy-duty trucks and high-density urban transit” as well as developing a ride-hailing network that could be similar to Uber.

In his speech in Dubai, the entrepreneur explained the future of robotics.

“We’re going to see tremendous advances in autonomy and artificial intelligence,” Musk said. “Probably in 10 years it will be very unusual for cars to be built that are not fully autonomous.”

But he also warned of the “disruptive” nature of autonomous vehicles.

“This disruption I’m talking about will continue for about 20 years. Still, 20 years is a short period of time with around 12-15% of the workforce being unemployed.”

Musk said governments need to pay close attention to artificial intelligence, create sustainable modes of transportation and beware of mass unemployment.

“It will be a massive social challenge. Ultimately, we need to think about a universal basic income. I don’t think we have a choice,” he said. “There will be fewer and fewer jobs that a robot cannot do better.”
