After years of intense fighting, the US has left its remote outpost in the Korengal Valley, in the country's east.

slowly and gradually afghanistan will be out of the reach of allied forces and they will pack their bags and leave, this doesnt even seem distant enough.

lol. its not a takeover but a leftover. US is expected to leave many such far flung bases under their new policy. more problems for us and then they talk of cooperation.
