Pakistan's employment market has witnessed significant improvement as compared to start of this year, a local news agency APP quoted a survey as saying on Wednesday.
According to the report, a survey conducted by Antal International, a transnational survey organization, has found that the number of companies letting staff go at professional and managerial level in Pakistan has dropped significantly since the start of the year.
Antal International conducted the quarterly survey of more than 9,600 organizations in 55 countries on whether they were currently hiring or firing employees at professional and managerial level.
The survey result showed that 29 percent of Pakistani organizations are currently letting managerial staff go, a figure that has dropped considerably from 53 percent at the start of the year, indicating growing confidence in the job market.
"It is a very encouraging and positive indicator of stability in the Pakistani employment market," said Saqlain Shah, Head of Operations, Antal International Network Pakistan.
According to the survey, 62 percent Pakistani companies responded that they were currently hiring the professionals and hoped that this trend would also continue in the next quarter.
