I hope PTI is working on a plan not only to win back another chance to form a government, but a realistic and actionable economic plan, that can be implemented as soon as they are back in power.
One that actually addresses inflation, such as deploying the Pakistan Navy to guard ships bringing Russian oil, gas, and wheat to Pakistan or getting investors to loan Pakistan funds to build back investor confidence as well as have Overseas Pakistanis send money back into Pakistan.
There also needs to be ground work done by PTI workers to help local people, regardless of if they voted PTI or not, to help people boost their productivity and help economize their expenses through cooperative intitiatices in their local communities. People need to see that PTI means results, because PTI can only use the regime change narrative for so long, people care most about economics, fortunately or unfortunately.
They need Local initiatives and pilot projects to show what PTI can do if re-elected once back in office and with more development funding once the economy is back on its feet. I hope PTI is working with all the leading startups in the country to try to maximize productivity (especially in Agriculture where in the west, the already world leading yields maybe about to be doubled with a quarter of the fertilizer and pesticide inputs using AI enabled robotics). Pakistan yields 3 metric tons of wheat per hectare, while India yields 4, China yields 6, and the UK yields 8.
PTI can not let a crisis go wasted and needs a strategy to maximize its utilization of the crisis to rebrand itself and solidify its government, once back in office, with results and
initiatives with the funding lined up to back them up, ready to go the moment the election results are announced. This is the time to have a “shadow government” working on the economy as well as looking to convince as many voters to side with PTI over PDM. No reason PTI officials can’t go to other countries and meet with the diaspora or other entities to try to build up an economic game plan.
If it’s government falls a second time, it may not be able to come back again.
