Supreme Court has allowed the federal government to introduce amendments in Gilgit-Baltistan Order 2018 in order to set-up the caretaker government and hold the 2020 election.

The federal government has filed a petition in Supreme Court to allow necessary amendments in the Government of Gilgit-Baltistan Order, 2018 for the caretaker setup.

Supreme Court on Thursday issued a short verdict. The detailed verdict to be announced later.

It is here to mention that the 2015 election was conducted under Gilgit-Baltistan Empowerment and Self-Governance Order, 2009, but the new order passed in 2018 "Gilgit-Baltistan Order 2018" was silent on the caretaker set up.

Who's running the country?
The 23 grade employees of ministry of justice, also known as judges?
Or the elected government?
Why an elected government needs permission from a state institute and it's employees to run the country?
