Strong Arguement by Asad Umer on MQM New Province Demand

.
Fair argument, the parties who are ruling provinces since decades are directly responsible for the condition of their province today. And MQM is just a political slut party, gets in bed with every govt without any ifs or buts, and still shamelessly keep playing like a saint. The same waderas with whom MQM sat in govt for full five years, today they want a separate province because they don't want to live with these waderas anymore..

Why MQM didn't demand new province, sindh 2 during past 5 years, when they were in govt with PPP? Weren't they in a better position to ask for new province at that time? PPP govt was literally standing on their shoulders at that time..

Waisee Asad Omer's assertion that they - PTI - are not in favor of making new provinces out of Sindh is such a unfortunate thing to say !

When they ever utter about the Partition of Punjab the next time - It would highlight nothing more than hypocrisy !

I also noticed that, yar PTI has been vocal on new provinces since a long time, this sudden change for sindh is just because they wanna enter into Sindh politics, and you know Sindhis pretty well I guess. Politics is being played, sit back and enjoy. :pop:

I thought we supported PTI because it was a Principled party instead of one that parrots rhetoric for political purposes; PTI is turning out to be not the Party I had such high hopes for ! :(

I suppose its true even in this case - the more things change....the more they stay the same !

what asad umer doesn't know how sindhis react to every step taken like kala bagh issue and new province issue

MQM tried to get more rights for karachi and hyderabad dealing with PPP without demanding new province, but PPP played MQM and only at the last moment passed SPLGO but no elections could be held, PPP wanted MQM to join its govt for second term and even offered the local bodies ministry but MQM has decided not to get black mailed by PPP again

Yar you are right, but we gotta think rationally. How do you think you are going to get standing ground in a province like Sindh where people are still living in 17th century who love to follow their peers and waderas and don't know things like education? You have to play good and bad sometimes, just give the people what they want to win them when needed and once you win it, do whatever you feel better. People in Sindh still vote on the basis of language, caste or clan so what you want PTI to do?

Lets just stay tuned and see where things progress, I had a talk a couple of days ago with a high up in PTI about Umerkot Jalsa, he clearly said that PTI wants to make inroads into Sindh, especially rural Sindh. All this so far is part of that chain, we might see more in near future.

So MQM woke up finally after full five years, how cute is that..

If they truly descend to the level of such political expedience they will not only loose the respect of a lot of people but would also risk fracturing into a PTI Sindh which is as antagonistic to Punjab as PPP or even PML N's Sindh Chapter is !

MQM was in ruling coalition from 2002 to 2013. What exactly did it do for Sindh?

It was in coalition before as well. It has been in government most of the time of its existence. Its still part of government in Sindh as Sindh governor is from MQM. I dont understand what argument are they making? If they couldn't do anything being part of power structure, what will threats & howling from London deliver?

how conveniently people forget how peaceful karachi was from 2002 till 2008, and forget mustafa kamal's period

MQM has done more for sindh in five years than 65 years of sindh history combined

PTI is for for new province but not based on MQM propoganda.

lol tell those stories to some one else. i was in Karachi twice when Musharaf was in power with MQM. On Tariq road parking mafia were taking money which went in pockets of politicians. We were not allowed to enter few masjids since we had one Norwegian with us. victims of target killing were found in hockey ground near PC hotel. I was told to hide my mobile and camera. I was told to be careful ( which i did not listen to ).

U tell me a middle class person Mustafa Kamal from noting how can he move to Dubai and live life style he is living ? Whats formula is it plz share with rest of Pakistanis to. Why most parks and grounds has been vanished and taken by land mafia ? Who allowed it ?

MQM has developed infrastructure in Karachi and in the 2000s there was relative peace in Karachi. Only when the PPP govt came to power, suddenly violence broke out. Until then people of Karachi were quite happy with MQM rule and even its opponents grudgingly admitted that it was good times during those years.

.
MQM is a Karachi party only. Thats a fact. Its politics is based on keeping the city hostage.

Asad umar raised a very legitimate question that if MQM was in government for the past decade what exactly did it do to address the grievances of the province? If there is a sense of grievance, why is it so? It is a grave failure on part of MQM.

In short, its leader must have courage to come back to Pakistan and do politics in Pakistan as a Pakistani not as a British citizen.

I don't think so its about only politics, the main reason also is the complicated situation of Sindh and being the financial hub with many problems it is not so easy to break it into two province on someone's call or have a say we support a new province, I am sure PTI would have said yes for their own political gains but surprisingly they did not they want it unified, there are huge problems in Pakistan. Again I don't understand kala bagh dam not developed or even discussed it has become a forbidden fruit and people are running mouths for a new province without discussions in parliament, polls and final votes. Solve Pakistan core problems then talk about new provinces, we have more major problems the making of province should come last.

Hi, well you gotta work hard on mqm's history its violent history dates after 1984, a party developed by zia-ul-hag, maybe you should remember 86-87 curfiews in Areas, what peace are you talking about this kati pahari and other no areas were established in 90 and after violence spurred time to time there was no peace since the day mqm came into existance.
