Stop saying Islam is a religion of peace: Taslima Nasreen

After reports suggested that all terrorists involved in the recent attack at Dhaka restaurant, in which 20 people were killed, were highly educated and belonged to rich families, Bangladeshi author Taslima Nasreen rubbished the arguments that poverty makes somebody a terrorist.

In a series of tweets, Taslima quoted Saleem Samad that Bangladesh has been a major contributor to global terror and said it's time people should stop saying Islam is a religion of peace.

Taslima holds strong feminist and human rights views and has not been able to return to Bangladesh, her native country that she left in 1994. The author has received death threats from extremist groups linked to al-Qaeda.

The logic makes sense. There is a fraction of crazy fools in every religion. Hinduism has it too, but Hinduism is followed but over a billion people. So if I said all Hindu's kill minorities, it won't be fair. But a fraction of that 1 billion does.

In my opinion, no religion is peaceful when it imposes its ideologies on to others. The imposers doing that, have already shown their extremist views about their religion. What's left? Bloodshed and drama. A religion should ONLY be one's personal matter.

No religion is completely peaceful barring Buddism and Shinto religions perhaps, most religions including Islam, Christianity and Hinduism has some way or the other justified violence in their respective holy books, be it killing the kaffirs in Quran or Dharmayuddha in Geeta, and the justifications for such violence are pretty lame.

With all due respect to muslims, they should stop playing this broken record of peacefulness immediately after every attack. Trust me brothers this does not help at all. In fact sometimes it feels like rubbing salt to the wounds, makes people pissed and then they start to ridicule Islam

Muslims actually created a proper system for welfare, child benefits, old age pensions etc. by looking at the needs of minorities. There's a reason Scandinavian countries named their welfare law Omar law which is one of the reasons that makes these countries so great. But I'm sure that flew over her brainwashed head.
