First building STM 500 will be starting in 2022, the project will be delivered to the navy after 72 months. A AIP submarine, this will be a game changer in the Agean sea, all that glorious ships will be in great danger . The latest REIS class is going on time frame, ther is no ambargo only delay because of covid.

I think ther will be at least 4 pieces of the subs delivered untill 2030, after that our MILDEN 3000 ton sub project will begin.

We knew that STM was doing a preliminary study on midget submarines with some friendly and brotherly countries. Therefore, the basis of this study may go back further than generally thought.



However, I would like to draw attention to a different point. This is the current situation in domestic supplier industries (under Aselsan's leadership):

Significant experience has been gained, not only in terms of design and testing capability, but also in the development and integration of submarine subsystems. Dozens of products are currently listed in the SSB catalogues, and many more are in the development phase. All these building blocks continue to advance the competence of the Turkish naval industry ecosystem in sub-water systems. These experience and capabilities gained on the basis of subsystems make it easier to put 'tailored' products that meet the needs as the final system.

Hisar will be fired from Subs, thats another milestone and deterence gainst ASUW choppers.

Especially if a smaller sub keeps costs low, allowing more to be procured. A dozen subs like this armed with long range precision weapons, especially strategic weapons on hypersonic cruise missile fired out of torpedo tubes could be a considerable deterrent.

Although they will need the means to sprint or dive deep for a sustained amount of time to avoid being sunk if really pressed.
