Spring. There is something profound about this season. I was jogging in the park and I saw all the daffodils blooming and shoots of new growth everywhere. There is a fabulous cherry tree that used to walk past as a kid. It was in full bloom and pink all over. What a sight. It was so uplifting. As I jogged and the gentle wind carassed my face like a massaging maiden it got me thinking. Spring is change. In with new and out with the old. A continous cycle that brings change and reinvigorates life. In it hope rises eternal. The never ending cycle of life continues. Spring offers us hope for brighter better future. So whatever your dreams are go for them. I wish all at PDF the best. Life is beautiful.

Yes, it is lovely out ... down south these were blooming a few weeks back already.

I quite like the cold although I hate the short days but you got to agree spring is like a "refresh button". And kitty you got a good sense of humour.

I don't like the short days either, but it always could be worse. The Northern parts of Norway only get a few hours of sunlight. For months there's even continuous daylight:o:!!

True story: this picture of Alta Fjord was actually taken around midnight:D.

No joke, they really do get midnight sunshine.

But where I live it's usually cloudy or we have inversion from cool air getting trapped between the mountains, so sometimes it doesn't get to bright here either.

Can't say I like it, but I'm used to it I guess.

Yeah I actually kind of like Spring, but not the warmer weather that comes with. That's relative of course. The July average, the hottest month of the year is still only a paltry 15 C. Only Norwegians and Icelanders think that's too warm:lol:.

The nice thing is that water activities become more possible. I live here, water accessible, great for a bit of boating or swimming.

But the best thing about Spring is that not only can we enjoy the water, but the Winter never truly leaves us:happy:. Our ski resorts stay open almost year round because we have snow in the Summer too.

Life would be perfect for me if the town was so dang small:angry:.

Cold hands and warm heart I guess?

That's a good way to put it. I'm a pretty cheery and easy going person, but damn if I don't rolling around in the snow:P.

I know. They force us in UK to go to school and do boring subjects like geography where we learn even more boring things like "Midnight Sun" a phenomenon that is found in North and South Poles. Anyway keep away from the freezer. Not good for your hair. And what is it with crazy galls from Norway and PDF?

Is there something I am missing out on?

Beautiful but it's missing something

Maybe the boys from Naswar thread have an idea?

F-16 huh:undecided:? Any chance we could get it in an F-35 model:P?

What is wrong with you people...?

Besides that we're all stark raving mad?

I should ask what's wrong with you people:what:?

All that heat, blech:sick:. What's the heat good for anyway?

I'd like to see the heat make a good ice cream.

Nah. The heat just makes me want ice cream, but then, even if it was -40 outside I'd still not refuse a scoop:D.

Long story short; we're just crazy around here:jester:.

I'm stuck in Karachi. I have heard from my father that it would rain heavy in monsoon season in Karachi, now we hardly get any rain. Greenery is decreasing i guess. Hardly any big enough tree to take shelter from the hot sun

Good but if you want to beat the heat try an ice lolly.

I wonder how people can go on without fan or an AC in winters, or without a cold water shower(this is now in summers). And exact opposite in winters, wonder how people can sleep without a blanket...Long story short: i like winters in summers and summers in winters.

So essentially the same as everyone else in the world?

That was a nice read, I love Spring too. I make daisy chains and randomly buy my Mother flowers. Right now we are having a Falooda :D
