Spat with mother leads to vanishing of Imaan Mazari’s Twitter account

Minister for Human Rights Shireen Mazari said she was embarrassed over her daughter’s constant criticism of the Pakistan Army, a WhatsApp conversation between the two posted by Imaan Mazari disclosed before her Twitter account vanished.

Imaan, daughter of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and serving minister Mazari, is known for her harsh tone towards the armed forces. She had shared a conversation of herself with her mother in which the latter expressed displeasure over the former’s behaviour.

Reacting to the recent Indo-Pak spat in which the Indian army chief whipped up war hysteria with Pakistan, Imaan had lashed out at the Pakistan Army over allegedly backing the militant groups in the held Kashmir.

In a WhatsApp message to her daughter, Mazari said, “You are again becoming an embarrassment.”

“You really need to stop giving in to your obsessive hatred of Pakistan Army,” she suggested, arguing that she loses all her rationality and credibility in doing so.

Mazari called her daughter’s actions “plain stupid and embarrassing” for her.

Disappointed at her mother’s message, Imaan said the human rights minister has paid a heavy price for her freedom. “I post this today without her consent because it is heartbreaking to see her suffer for something she has no control over,” she added.

Imaan vowed not to stay silent and exercise her right to free speech. “We disagree. Accept it. Get over it,” she wrote in her tweet.

Later on, Imaan’s Twitter account was nowhere to be seen as the micro-blogging termed her profile as “not found”.

I have been following her on twitter for past two years. In past two years, she has again and again expressed her disgust with Pakistan Army and Pakistan's traditional values. Typical Westoxified secular (read Atheist/Agnostic like most "seculars" in Pakistan) burger who wants to IMPOSE her vision of secular liberalism on our society, even though overwhelming majority of us want an Islamic Republic and thats why our ancestors died for.

I remember last year, she wrote a huge *** post on Christmas, celebrating the "soul" (her words) of Christmas and what not. And on Bakra Eid, she lambasted the "barbaric Islamic practice" of slaughtering animals on Eid (which Muslims distribute among poor, mind you!). Just imagine the level of self-hatred and treachery that runs through her blood!

Her real lifestyle and values that she wants to normalize in Pakistan in the name of "freedom"

Drugs, alcohol, shorts, and sex and rock n roll!

Altho I dont know of my direct ancestors dying , My grand father ( daada ) was in the British Army adn well as a school teacher. My Other Grand Father was a in the British Navy as well as a honorable citizen of British India and Pakistan. My Father was in the Armed Forces of Pakistan ( as well as a teacher ). This is my direct ancestors doesnt include my the history of their brothers and sisters.

Can you cite which of yours "ancestors" died, and under what circumstances.

I know how it feels as many of my relatives were also killed by Hindu and Sikh mobs in The Kashmir/Northeast Punjab area.

Secondly, my taya abu died precisely because of Pakistan. He decided to support the creation of Pakistan in the face of danger since his family lived in Sikh majority village.....as he believed in the creation of an Islamic state for Muslims was crucial for our survival. Hindu/Sikhs didn't like it. He campaigned for Jinnah and got into fights with non-Muslims who were against Islamic sovereignty in the subcontinent.

My taya abu and his family was hence specifically targeted once the violence broke out. That's why the violence against him was particularly brutal as they put nails in his body and threw him in the well where my grandfather found him.

So yes, he died SPECIFICALLY for the creation of Islamic state (Pakistan).
