Certainly when this takes off humanity will have crossed a monumental threshold in space exploration. I think most people aren't truly grasping the implications of Starship.

Certainly when this takes off humanity will have crossed a monumental threshold in space exploration. I think most people aren't truly grasping the implications of Starship.

They don't, and they don't realize how fast this is coming together. Alot of people see this as a "dream" that will take 15-20 years of development. When in reality, Starship will reach orbit next year. Of course there will be bumps and probably more explosions along the way, but the pace this is coming together is unprecedented. Only Apollo compares.

Starship is a revolutionary platform and will be a strategic asset for the United States for a long time to come.

Is it known how many days it will take for Starship to go to Mars and how many people will initially travel ?

90 days and I doubt more than 3 people will be on the surface the first few times. I expect they will have to have multiple emergency cargo Starships in orbit full of fuel before they'd risk stranding more than 3 people.
