LAHORE: The Sargodha Industrial Park will be completed in next one-and-a-half years with all necessary facilities of modern and international standard, according to a statement on Friday.
The principal organisation, Pakistan Industrial Development Corporation (PIDC) will provide 30 percent investment to complete this project, it said.
Mohsin Syed, chief executive officer of National Industrial Parks (NIP), said that the NIP would develop the infrastructure on behalf of PIDC.
Industrialists of this area were interested in setting up their units in the sectors such as Bakelite switches, light engineering, flour mills, tractor crankshaft, cold storage, foundry, citrus industry (farming, processing), pesticides and oils mills, he said.
Around 70 percent industry of Bakelite is located in Sargodha and not only this industry will flourish but other sectors will also be benefited from it, he said.
The NIP CEO said that the main objective of development of Sargodha Industrial Estate is to promote small and medium enterprises, which would ultimately boost the industrial activities in the country.
