KARACHI: Pakistan values the relationship with Russian Federation and its support in various fields especially large scale industrial sectorlike Steel Mill I appreciatable.
President FPCCI Haji Fazal Qadir Khan Sherani on visit of Andrey V Demidov, Counsel General of Russian Federation to FPCCI said both countries should work to enhance low volume of bilateral trade.
Russia is in Asia and near to Pakistan as compared to other countries but share of Pakistan export in Russian import is negligible only 0.08 percent while share of Russian export in Pakistan import is 0.06 percent.
He emphasised for mutual cooperation in various fields to boost the pace of progress in Asia.
Demidov showed disappointment on low volume of trade and said business community of both countries to come forward and support each other to enhance relations. Russia has great expertise and potential in energy, water dams etc and was optimistic on expansion of commercial relations between the two countries. He said Pakistani business community should tap new markets in Russias 80 regions
