Dear fellow members. Pakistan is going through a tough time. Al the action taken by Govt and military like bombing in FATA, Waziristan appears to me a limited intervention at tactical level. I think more strategic level thinking and abolishing root causes are required. If in one hand you provide water and fertilisers to the Poison Tree regularly and on the other hand you try to cut the branches time to time to control it, its not a wise activity and is bound to fail.
The primary control point should be controlling your education policy and text books. This is the first step of poisoning the young one.
- Prepare a hate free syllabus and text books
- Syllabus should be free from religious and sectarian bias. Centralisation tendency must be reduced and important regional topics should be included.
- syllabus committee should contain renowned academicians across the country without political intervention.
- Make all schools including Madrasas to follow the syllabus. mandatorily
- Make a state wise school service commission. There will be exams monitored by a central body. There will be state wise panel for successful candidates purely based on merits all schools must select their teachers from that panel.
This will not give immediate effect. This should be your investment for future generation. The poison inducted in school text books during 80's are giving its fruit today. Similarly it will take some time to clear this mess. But this is only the first step.
