What's his angle? Was he just another anti-war, non-interventionist Leftist? Those types are falsely regarded well by the Muslim community. The neocons are our best friends, they want to topple the autocratic regimes that rule us, they want to humiliate our evil rulers, and they want to save us from being colonized by the Chinese.
