Chief of Army Staff Raheel Sharif has said writ of the state had been restored after successfully evicting terrorists from their sanctuaries.

While addressing a special provincial Apex Committee meeting of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and FATA on Tuesday, army chief said that after successfully evicting terrorists from their sanctuaries and restoring writ of the state, we are in the most difficult phase of the operation.

Raheel Sharif said we are physically rebuilding the war-damaged areas, resettling of IDPs and eventually establishing an administrative system that focuses on the needs and aspirations of the people. He emphasised that together with our tribal brethren we shall ensure that terrorists and their facilitators are never allowed to return to these areas.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Sardar Mehtab Ahmad, Chief Minister Pervez Khattak, Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif, Peshawar Corps Commander, senior provincial and FATA Secretariat officials attended the meeting.

Army chief says Pakistan entering most difficult phase of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa military operation


Pakistan's Chief of Army Staff, General Raheel Sharif, on Tuesday said the country is entering the most difficult and crucial phase of the military operation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

He was addressing a special provincial apex committee meeting in Peshawar.

The meeting laid special focus on the return of Temporary Displaced Persons (TDPs) with further discussion on the current progress of intelligence-based operations (IBO) being conducted across the urban centers of the country, reports Dawn.

'We are in the most difficult phase of the operation after successfully evicting terrorists from their sanctuaries and restoring the writ of the state',said General Sharif.

The meeting was attended the Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa(KP) , chief minister of KP, Peshawar corps commander along with senior officials from KP and Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA).

General Sharif also paid rich tribute to the resilience and sacrifices rendered by the people of the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa .

The real difficult is yet to see, when the facilitators in Punjab will be exposed and yes this will soon take place too.


Also, the government needs to play their part too to tackle down all those terrorists.

And of course kudos to the army for achieving the success on operation Zarb E Azb.
