THE 2018 July Blood Moon eclipse is a Biblical sign of the end times apocalypse, according to a prominent Christian doomsday preacher.

The July Blood Moon will illuminate the night skies with an eerie red glow on the night of July 27 to July 28, next month.
Clocking in at a total of 103 minutes, the July Blood Moon will be the longest total lunar eclipse between the years 2001 and 2100
On the night of the eclipse, scattered sunlight in the atmosphere will paint the moon red, but conspiracy theorists fear the eclipse is an apocalyptic sign from the heavens.
The chief purveyor of the so-called Blood Moon eclipse prophecy is popular Christian pastor Paul Begley.
Pastor Begley predominately preaches his doomsday predictions to YouTube audiences and has addressed the Blood Moon in his latest “Prophecy Now” video.

In the video he said: “Are you serious? The Blood Moon that’s coming July 27, 2018, will be the longest Blood Moon of the century and it’s happening on the 70th year of Israel as a nation, also the year Jerusalem has been declared the capital and eternal city of God.
“This is such a prophetic day because even Mars will be at its closest proximity to the Earth than it’s been in 15 years and all the planets are aligned on one side.
“The gravitational pull from Planet X or Nibiru – if there is such a thing as Planet X or Nibiru – the entire gravitational pull on Earth could be catastrophic.
“Now Hawaii, the epicentre of apocalypse right now, that volcano just won’t stop and scientists are not sure if it ever will.

“But what does the Bible say about these apocalyptic events and how does a Blood Moon play into that prophecy?
Pastor Begley then cited passages in the Bible which speak of the end times and the moon turning red.
He mentioned chapter six, verse 12, of the Book or Revelations which talks about the moon turning “blood red”, a “great earthquake” and the sun turning black.

Instead he agreed the Blood Moon is a sign the end times are fast approaching.
He said: “There is a period coming. Not saying it’s July 27, I’m not saying it’s July 27.
“But I am saying that the Bible does talk about the significance of the moon turning blood red in Biblical prophecy and signs in the heavens.”
But what Pastor Begley failed to mention is the Blood Moon appears at least twice every year due to the moon’s orbital path around the Earth.

The Christian preacher was also involved in predicting the end times during the last Blood Moon on January 31, 2018.
Most astronomers will agree the July Blood Moon eclipse is a regular occurrence with a sound scientific explanation behind it.
On the night of July 27 the moon will dip into the Earth’s shadow and an effect known as Raleigh Scattering will paint it red.
Raleigh Scattering filters out shorter wavelengths of blue sunlight in the atmosphere, leaving longer red wavelengths to illuminate the moon.
