KARACHI: At least three alleged gangsters were killed in an intelligence-driven targeted raid by Rangers personnel at Yousaf Goth, in the wee hours of Thursday.
According to a paramilitary spokesperson, two personnel were also injured due to firing by the miscreants. Rangers troops cordoned off the area and heavy exchange of fire took place during the operation.
One of the accomplices managed to escape, while a heavy cache of automatic weapons & ammunition was recovered.
Meanwhile, in Federal B Area Block-11, a robbery attempt in a house was foiled by area police. The personnel detained an injured suspect, while his associates managed to flee from the spot.
In New Karachi, near Sindhi hotel, a man was shot dead. The deceased has been identified as Basheer by rescue authorities.
