Raja Zulqarnain elected AJK president
MUZAFFARABAD (updated on: July 27, 2006, 18:29 PST): The Legislative Assembly in Azad Kashmir on Thursday elected a new president of the state following recent polls, officials said.
Raja Zulqarnain Khan of the ruling Muslim Conference party secured 40 votes against eight polled by his rival, they said.
Last week the Assembly elected Sardar Attique Khan new prime minister of the state, both belonging to the Muslim Conference.
