LAHORE – Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif said due to extremely conducive atmosphere, Punjab had become attractive for foreign investors.
Talking to representative delegation of Turkish companies in Model Town on Thursday, the chief minister said the World Bank had termed Punjab as a role model for the other provinces in its latest report which was a an clear confidence in the development projects of the Punjab government and vindication of its good governance and transparent implementation of the development schemes.
Shahbaz said brotherly relations between Turkey and Punjab had now been transformed into useful economic ties. He said Energy Road Show in Istunbol to end energy crisis in Punjab. The chief minister said the Punjab government of was working with missionary zeal to ensure transparent governance, whereas the federal government, unfortunately, was indulging in corruption and due to the corrupt federal gang, no one was prepared to make investment in the country.
He said if intentions are sincere, the leadership of the country would not hesitate from even taking difficult decisions in the interest of progress and welfare of the people.
The chief minister laid the foundation stone of modern sanitary landfill site in Lakhodair, which is first of its kind in Pakistan. A large number of residents belonging to the adjoining areas reached there. While talking to the media, the Chief Minister said that there is no unity within Peoples Party, therefore, it cannot make any alliance with other political parties.
Chief Minister Thursday also visited the house of PML-N MNA Rana Afzaal Hussain at Muridke to express his condolences over the sad demise of his wife. The CM also visited the house of senior journalist and anchor Muhammad Maalik at Shahdra and expressed his condolences over the death of his father and offered fateha.
