PTI shocked at the story by Shaheen Sehbai which is based purely on allegations: Dr Humayun Mohmand
The Secretary International Chapters PTI, Dr. Humayun Mohmmand has expressed shock at the story by Shaheen Sehbai in The News (dated Aug 8, 2013) which is based purely on allegations made by disgruntled individuals.
He reiterated that the commitment of the PTI overseas members, who are an asset for PTI and Pakistan, is the same as before and they are regularly sending funds for party activities as they have confidence in Imran Khan and his leadership.
Humayun pointed out that the PTI accounts have always been audited regularly and submitted to the Election Commission of Pakistan, a fact which can be verified from the ECP.
He stated that there are some disgruntled elements, within and outside PTI, who have been making slanderous accusations without any proof in a bid to discredit the party and Imran Khan. The party had a special audit conducted just to lay these accusations to rest. Upon completion of the audit no irregularities have been found in the PTI accounts and we will be publishing this audit report soon.
He drew attention to The accusations, levelled without any proof, by Akbar Babar and said that Babar had no credibility as he was removed from the party office and his basic membership was cancelled on disciplinary grounds. So he is conducting his personal vendetta against the PTI.
