The counter-terrorism department personnel yesterday arrested a Punjab University professor for having links with a banned outfit. Investigators identified the suspect as Prof Ghalib Ata, who is a faculty member at the Institute of Administrative Sciences, Punjab University. Police sources said that Ghalib Ata was detained as a CTD team raided his residence of in (Raza Block) Iqbal Town early yesterday. He was shifted to an unknown place for interrogation.
