I am just been informed that my Wife's Grandma has passed away , she was fighting her sickness for more than a week and after spending 4-5 days in Ventilator, her children after discussing with her Doctors decided to put her off the Ventilator, they were unsure if she will be able to make it , and start breathing on her own but I guess she becomes to weak for that.

Its a bit unusual but I have develop a good relationship with her, we have talked on Video call for around 7-8 times and often ask for pictures and videos of my bothers's son and daughter, She used to joke about that when I come over there she will give a reception in USA, And she hoped that I would be Ok with a Christian style marriage, She also talked about how she never thought that her future Generations would someday marry brown Muslim guy from Pakistan, and she also express interest in our culture and food specially, Although it would hard for her to eat our spicy Pakistani food.

As now she is gone, that really Upsets my Wife, she told me that she is writing to US senator of her District about the delay in our Visa process, despite sending everything they asked for around a year ago, I don't think it will do anything because If i am not wrong the US senator has no authority of Embassy matters . But I guess i will not stop her cause she is in rage and its better I let her do what she wants to .

She seems to be a nice person, I must say very accepting towards me and my family , even she once talked to my Mother , where I translate what she said to my mother in Urdu .
Please Recite Surah Fatiha for her, as her affairs is now with Allah , She wasn't a very religious person but associate her to Christianity .

Man, my prayers for her. You are lucky to have had her blessings and time with her.

It is over 35 years ago and i still remember my grandmother. It is like a small image of time in the past. But like a picture there is a piece will be missing always and that will be her.

We take place of our elders with time and we will too return to our creator.

Have faith and be blessed that you had time with her in this short life we have.

well my grandmothers died long time ago, In fact my Grandma from father side died 1 year before I was born , but we were close to our Grandma from mother's side , we spend weekend in her house for years , what makes it special that her house was haunted and even it scare us as kid , its also thrilling to stay there, watch late night movies , snacks etc .

Well this is about my Wife's grandma , I never met her in person as I never been to US, but she and I talked few time and it went better than i expected, she was very open towards diversity , and kind hearted person ,She literally requested me to send the Wedding dress of my wife ( Traditional Pakistani one ) to US so when I came there we will have our reception with American style but with Pakistani Traditional clothes, She also asked me to bring my Salwaar Kameez so I can wear it . It was refreshing she took a lot of interest in Pakistani culture and food , I send her a lot of traditional stuff like Rings , ear rings, small hand bags , necklaces etc she love them all .

It will remain a reason to be sad that I never able to met her in person , and before i get to US she passed away . Thanks for your kind words .
