Islamabad- Pakistan Peoples Party and Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf today expressed their sympathies with MQM workers over recent development in London.
Former President and PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari has demanded justice for MQM chief Altaf Hussain. In a statement, Zardari said Altaf Hussain was leading a major political party of the country. He urged the British authorities to provide a free and fair trail to Altaf Hussain.
PPP leader and opposition leader in the National Assembly, Khursheed Shah urged the MQM workers to remain peaceful amid its chief arrest in London over money laundering. Shah said that PPP and MQM are allies in Sindh government and stand by each other in hard times. He called upon federal government to contact British authorities to raise the issue on official level.
PPP leader said Nawaz Sharif himself should talk to his British counterpart over the issue. He said MQM is key party of mainstream politics in the country and the arrest of its chief has created panic among the workers. “Altaf Hussain’s arrest could result in negative impact in national politic arena,” Shah concluded. On other hand, Altaf Hussain’s critic Imran Khan has said that despite having political differences with MQM, his sympathies and thoughts were with its workers. However, PTI chief said his stance on MQM would remain same as previous.

Its surprising and clearly shows the hypocrisy of political parties. Not long ago we saw a main figure of PPP while he was in GOVT telling us the secrets of MQM/Altaf hussain holding Quran in hands. Similarly the leader of PTI is always an open critic of Altaf Hussain. As a matter of fact the arrest of Altaf Hussain maybe some how linked to PTI efforts that lead British police to inspect Altaf Hussain's home and in turn lead them to money laundering case. :undecided: What does it mean when they say "their sympathies with MQM workers over recent development in London" Basically are they saying its unfortunate that their leader is in jail ? Isn't this what they always wanted ? Why stepping away from it now and not taking the credit? The funny thing is they are trying to shift the load towards GOVT saying they should help MQM o_O Why don't you openly ask GOVT to help British to serve the justice and give access to people they need in investigation?

No. Keep the cockroach in Jail. One less corrupt politician to worry about.

this was what was all over the news, even Nawaz Sharif has directed Pakistani high commission to provide legal assistance... nonetheless, the truth is this wouldnot have happened without Ch Nisar handing over the two arrested guys... which ppp's rehman malik didnt hand over... hope the investigations will go to its logical conclusion in both murder and money laundering cases...

They have to go for murder trial. With money laundering he can get bail.

I am told that money laundering is a freaking serious offence.. he can go in jail for 14 years. money laundering or murder, this is end of Altaf and hopefully MQM mafia, babar ghori already ran away, so did wasim akhtar, mustafa kemal and some others.. internal drift will inshallah end this mafia...

also the important thing is to improve law and order at this time, otherwise some other mafia group will take over..

Joyous or not but someone experienced the karma first hand.....However, rotten eggs of MQM and urdu speaking community will always keep making noise...

Also Ishrat ul ibad creates rifts. Every now and then he travels to Dubai....

Farooq Sattar is potentially the next leader in making. Like his colleagues he is qualified to be a terrorist. Something needs to be done to him ASAP.
