Police beef up own security after latest attacks

KARACHI: Security of sensitive police stations in Karachi is being beefed up after two Rangers and five police personnel have been killed in the first week of January.
According to our correspondent, Close Circuit Television (CCTV) cameras are being installed at selected police stations while more check-posts would also be established to ensure security.
The security measures are being taken at Mochko, Manghopir, Surjani Town, Orangi Town and other police stations in Karachi.
Security and law enforcing personnel have been regularly targeted by terrorists across the city resulting in martyrdom of around more than 160 officers and jawans. –SAMAATV
