پہلے ان کی صاحبزادی ردا خان کو خواتین کی مخصوص نشستوں پر رکن قومی اسمبلی بنایا گیا اور اب ان کے بھائی راشد اللہ خان کو پی آئی اے میں منیجر کارگوسیلزکے عہدہ سے ترقی دیکر ڈپٹی جنرل منیجر پی آئی اے بنا دیا گیا۔

ڈپٹی جنرل منیجر ہیومن ریسورسزکے دستخطوں سے جاری ہونیوالے آفس آرڈر میں بتایا گیا ہے کہ راشد اللہ خان کوپی آئی اے کے گروپ8 سے ترقی دیدی گئی ہے ،وہ پہلے پی آئی اے کراچی میں منیجر کارگو سیلز کی حیثیت سے خدمات سرانجام دے رہے تھے، اب ترقی کے بعد ڈپٹی جنرل منیجرہوں گے، ان کی ترقی یکم جنوری 2007ء سے نافذ العمل ہوگی جبکہ یکم جنوری 2007ء سے4 جولائی 2013ء تک کے عرصہ کے اضافی مالی فوائد انہیں ادا نہیں کیے جائیں گے۔

I chcked this and it seems that the promotions of the two brothers were on merit.

The PIA promotion board had promoted them in 2008 but then the PPP government came and the promotion was put on hold...due to the relation with Mushahidullah Khan.

So the promotion got delayed 5 years. Now they have been promoted and the reason they are being given benefits from 2007 is because they were originally promoted in that period of 2007-2008.

They have only been promoted one grade, not a quantum leap.

...but...the problem occurs in who issued the notification.

The notification was issued by the Advisor on Aviation to the PM. Technically, and according to the rules, the advisor has got nothing to do with the PIA and he cannot interfere in any matters pertaining to PIA. So he cannot issue any notification regarding shuffling of personnel or anybody in PIA.

But he did issue the notification of promotion through HR, and also issued another notification which was showed on Geo according to which the finance manager was going to be changed to some other 'handpicked' guy (so much for advertisements!) and the also some other things.

Advisor has got no authority to order people in PIA. He can only advise the PM on matters of aviation.

Yeh to trailer hai dost, film abhi baki hai.

In the future, we will see either of 2 things:

1- The MD and other top honchos of PIA get frustrated that the advisor is poking his nose into PIA.

2- The MD and other top honchos are handpicked lattoos who don't make a noise when advisor pokes his nose.
