Pakistan warns US over missiles

Pakistan's president has warned the new head of US Central Command that missile strikes on Pakistani territory are "counter-productive".

President Asif Ali Zardari told General David Petraeus that such strikes were detrimental to the "war on terror".

Gen Petraeus also met Pakistan's army chief and prime minister during his first visit to the country since taking up his new position.

His responsibilities include Iraq and Afghanistan as well as Pakistan.

'Credibility gap'

Correspondents say that this is the most high-profile protest yet from Islamabad against cross-border attacks by US forces based in Afghanistan.

"Continuing drone attacks on our territory, which result in loss of precious lives and property, are counter-productive and difficult to explain by a democratically-elected government," President Zardari said.

The US sees its strategic relationship with Pakistan as vital

"It is creating a credibility gap," the state-run Associated Press of Pakistan quoted him as saying.

Gen Petraeus' trip comes amid tensions between Islamabad and Washington over US missile strikes on suspected Islamist militants in north-west Pakistan.

"Pakistan has conveyed to the United States of America to respect its sovereignty and territorial integrity because the frequent drone attacks could lead to generate anti-America sentiments as well as create outrage and uproar among the people," the Pakistani defence ministry said in a statement.

Neither Gen Petraeus nor the US embassy in Pakistan made any immediate public comment in relation to the criticisms.

Gen Petraeus is being accompanied by US Assistant Secretary of State Richard Boucher.

Correspondents say the American envoys face the delicate task of explaining US actions without upsetting its ally.

They say that the fact the visit is taking place just days after Gen Petraeus took up his new post shows how important the US considers Pakistan's role to be in its "war on terror". The frequent drone attacks could lead to generate anti-America sentiments as well as create outrage and uproar among the people

The Afghan-Pakistan militant nexus

US commanders in Afghanistan strongly believe the answer to reducing violence in the country lies across the border in Pakistan's north-west.

The restive tribal area is considered a haven for al-Qaeda and Taleban-linked fighters.

But despite recent US missile strikes and the deployment of extra Pakistani troops to the region, militant attacks have continued.

More than 20 people were killed in two suspected US missile attacks in north-west Pakistan on Friday. But just two days later, eight Pakistani soldiers were killed in a suicide bomb attack on a security base near the border with Afghanistan.

Gen Petraeus has already commissioned a major review of US strategy in the region, which is expected to emphasise the need for a wider regional solution and more outreach to the Taleban.

Gen Petraeus was until recently commander of the US military in Iraq. He was widely credited with improving security there through the "surge" plan, which saw nearly 30,000 US troops deployed to trouble-spots.

Agreed,

Theres a difference between saying something and actually doing it.

This is not a warning; it is more like pleading or begging. Indians have a similar master-slave relationship with the United States. There IS another way:-

Satish Chandra has written:

"Indians as a rule are inferior Indian ******* unfit to talk about strategic matters, especially when it involves the White Master in any way, which it always does. That is why in his only reference to India in his 'Mein Kampf', Adolf Hitler said "As for India, I would rather see India under the British than under any one else". It is not just that a handful of the British from half way around the world ruled India for centuries; a lot of other people did that from various countries for a thousand years.
A modern day Babar will start each day by killing a million Indians before breakfast every morning, though some think three million will be better (this number can be herded into fairly small extermination circles and then a neutron bomb exploded over them).
I am an Indian, but as far above the other Indians as an avatar is above ordinary mortals."

It must be remembered that the Muslims of the subcontinent are by and large converted Hindus, converted by militarily stronger invaders and, therefore, Pakistanis share many of the characteristics of Indians and Pakistan's relationship to the United States is similar to that of India.

Dear Chandra's Assistant, sir
I dont know the guy , who you quoted here, but let me tell you , that stop thinking about pakistanis in that unlogical fashion, that the most of us(pakistanis) were converted hindus, let me remind you the history a bit!
GREAT KING BABAR , & his forefathers never came alone to india, they came with huge LASHKARS, (army) which was dominated by muslim warriors, from turkey, iraq, & some of arabian countries, thus its a totaly wrong perception here that all the pakistanis are converted hindus or they had any relation to hindus.
on the point , of white master's yes, its the time to stand against the, white master all togather, on a united front. frist time in the recent history, CONTINENT ASIA proved that its the most powerfull and the richest continent on the earth, thats the very reason it had been invaded by white barbariens time and time , again & again, from japan to china, from hongkong to indonesia, asia was put under lockup of our great white masters?
today our white masters, are still in controll of us by via stallite remote, but looking at the progress made by GREAT CHINA & INDIA in the field of space & economy, simply made the hopes of the all asians very high to have , real freedom & independence?:agree::sniper::usflag:

Yeah right! Talk about giving warnings.:disagree:

Get over yourselves-

"CONTINENT ASIA proved that its the most powerfull and the richest continent on the earth, thats the very reason it had been invaded by white barbariens time and time , again & again, from japan to china, from hongkong to indonesia, asia was put under lockup of our great white masters?"

Ummm...was this BEFORE or AFTER the repeated conquests/subjugation of asia by asians? Does that make it better if the skin is slightly darker? Somehow more acceptable?

Play the "race card" if you wish but it doesn't really wash. For all the onerous- even heinous conduct associated with modern colonialism, it paled in sheer brutality repeatedly visited upon the citizens of this landmass by themselves and their immediate neighbors.

Now stop this nonsense...:frown:

Next US leader must stop attacks: Gilani
Wednesday, November 05, 2008

* PM says US CENTCOM chief ‘looked convinced’ by Pakistan’s stance
* Says US attacks do not coincide with Pakistan strategy

ISLAMABAD: The next US president must halt missile strikes on suspected Taliban targets in northwest Pakistan or risk failure in efforts against terrrorism, Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani warned on Tuesday.

Gilani said in an interview with The Associated Press that visiting US General David Petraeus ‘looked convinced’ when he warned him the strikes were inflaming anti-American sentiment, but that he got no guarantee that they would end.

“No matter who the president of America will be, if he doesn’t respect the sovereignty and integrity of Pakistan ... anti-America sentiments and anti-West sentiment will be there,” Gilani said.

Militants with tribes: Gilani looked frustrated at times as he said the attacks were “uniting the militants with the tribes”.

He said the US should co-operate with Pakistan’s military, sharing intelligence, to allow Pakistan to go after the targets itself.

He also said the missile strikes served as a distraction to Pakistan’s own military operations. “Their strategy is not coinciding with our strategy,” Gilani said. “Our strategy is to take one area at one time.” ap

Satish Chandra has written:

"How did this slavery to the white man come about? An answer is in The Guardian (August 24, 2007, Internet, report by Randeep Ramesh): "India's secret history: 'A holocaust, one where millions disappeared...': Author says British reprisals involved the killing of 10 m, spread over 10 years:..." Present day Indians’ behaviour is profoundly affected by the terrorization and subjugation inflicted on them by the British. This came on top of the terrorization and subjugation inflicted by Muslim invaders in the preceding 800 years. Since Muslims are no longer strong, Indians are coming out of fear of the Muslims but the fear of the white man keeps getting deeper and deeper as the white man’s power in relation to Indians keeps increasing. India is faced with an even deeper slavery to the Americans with the nuclear deal and all the other prongs it comes with. Attaining strategic nuclear parity, then supremacy and using this supremacy to eliminate this incomparably greater threat, will be India's real War of Independence. One does not need to refer to the holocaust beginning 1857 to know the incomparably greater American threat and its consequences, which I know directly but which remains a secret from the Indian people."

Satish Chandra has shown how India will get out of slavery to the firangis; see the first 22 posts, especially the press releases in post numbers 13 through 22, of this thread:

http://www.defence.pk/forums/indian...p-defend-its-borders-against-u-s-attacks.html

As you can see, it requires the destruction of New Delhi/Delhi by a nuclear explosion but it will liberate the subcontinent as a whole from slavery to the firangis.

For the full picture of how the liberation of India and the rest of the subcontinent from slavery to the firangis will occur, go to:
Nuclear Supremacy for India over U.S.

Mr, SatishChandra's Assistant;
plz stop, qouting SatishChandra ! i dont care about what he said or not?
it really doesnt concerned to this thread, isnt it.
stay with the topic, & give your own thoughts.
thanks
