ISLAMABAD: Pakistan on Saturday summoned acting Indian High Commissioner Manpreet Vohra over Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s statement about possible Taliban attacks during Indian elections.

According to the foreign office, Pakistan has taken serious note of Indian PM’s statement and asked India to provide Pakistan with any concrete information about terrorism.

The foreign office said Pakistan condemns terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.

Smart Move. The highest office in India has made allegations, presumbaly the highest office in India does not signal based on guesses - let the Indian pass on any information he has to authorities in Pakistan and the information can be shared by other coalition partners. What could be more reasonable.

Absolutely. This is a great gesture from Pakistan and I hope that the Indian side at least welcomes it. Hope this becomes the first step from either side towards resuming the composite dialogue process.
