Jf-17 will be turkey shoot for the flanker and rafales

Except this "Turkey" already has defeated certain flankers in exercises ... and last I checked certain flankers from our east got locked by our then, declared BVR-less falcons and F-7 PG's ... and after that incident ... the much promised "surgical strikes" never came ... I wonder why ... :pleasantry: ..

Sri Lanka is trying to remain neutral between Pakistan and India, which is a good place to be. They'll buy from both sides, and in the event of a major incident, they can play as a mediator, which would increase their regional standing. It's actually quite smart of them.

How is becoming a mediator between a weak/medium power and a major power supposed to make you influential?

Because if it succeeds, it makes you a trusted partner and raises your status globally. If negotiations succeed, you can take credit for them succeeding, which may result in other nations coming to you for their own issues.

Looking forward for JF-17 to be sold to Sri Lanka, cooperation with Russia on the engines is needed.

Personally speaking, Pakistan should really start looking for an alternate engine. Things are heating up between Russia and the west, and the JF-17 may end up being a victim of circumstance.

the PAF seem satisfied with the RD-93 they've said the thrust to weight ratio is pretty good for the JF-17, theirs been no indication from any of the latest reports PAF willing to change engines.

Practically yes, technically no. They have not yet agreed to any purchase of any new aircraft per SLAF, but it seems they backed away from a nearly finalized deal (per them at least for the time being) d/t indian pressure. That being said, you could have simply read this thread and it would have answered all your questions.

Dont be a fool. According to PDF at least 5 different countries air-forces proudly posses hundreds of JF-17 . It has made Pakistan a premier military defence exporter and Europe and the US are considering the JF-17 to replace f-35 as they have seen how 1 jf-17 downed the entire Indian airforce in seconds

export to 2 countries is more than "zero" you know
