KARACHI: The visiting, British Foreign Secretary William Hague Thursday said that Pakistani ministers have been enquiring about fresh developments in the ongoing investigations in connection with Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain.
Speaking in Geo News program Aaj Kamran Khan Kay Saath today, Hague reiterated that the Metropolitan police perform its duties without any political interference.
He said he understands that the Pakistani ministers and its people take particular interest in the London investigations. He also admitted that BBCs documentary further added to the peoples curiosity in this case.
William Hague said the Met police have so far raided more than 15 residences of people of Pakistani origin in connection with the investigation into Dr Imran Farooq murder and money laundering.
Huge amount of cash and other materials were also seized in raids on Altaf Hussains office and residence, he added.
