ISLAMABAD: Pakistan earned $1.572 million during the 2011-12 by exporting different leather products, State Minister for Commerce Abbas Khan Afridi informed the Lower House of Parliament on Friday.
Relying to a question, the minister informed the amount was earned by exporting products such as leather, raw hides and skins, leather footwear, leather manufactures (excluding leather footwear), leather gloves, apparel and clothing and other leather manufactures.
Giving the details, he said $445,799 were earned by exporting leather, $421 by raw hides and skins, $80,093 by leather footwear, $522,841 by leather manufactures, $165,942 by leather gloves, $341,001 by apparel and clothing and $15,897 were earned by exporting other leather manufactures.
