Suppose it was all said and done in 'Josh e khitabat'?

Well, I'm glad they came to their senses, bullet train is a ridiculous idea.

. . .
fast communication is not a bad idea.

but claims were false and made a fool out of their supporters !

Bullet trains costs billions. They can be used in countries (like Japan) where businessmen and high valued white collar workers need to get places quick, the maintenance, running and set up costs are huge, hence travelling is costly.

It's all a sum game.

Will getting those people from point A to B, quicker result in a net increase in productivity in your economy?
Sure in places like London, New York, Tokyo. But not in Pakistan.

Couple that with the fact that the ordinary railways are 'mismanaged' to say the least. How can we even consider bullet trains at a time where the ordinary trains are so screwed?

It is a ridiculous idea for now.

Oh c'mon, what's new here. We all knew it was coming..

Another Gem from Khuwaja sara saad rafique, " Ishaq Dar has assured me railways will not be privatized"

true indeed..you are right and I was wrong, definitely thats what bullet trains are for....

Our need is integration of the federation with proper network, so that people dont get restrained to their regions.

we need to double the rail tracks. all of them and spread the network further for transportation of goods, defence and passengers !

thats like when it would happen, he would say, I didnt do it, it was Ishaq Dar who assured me, its his fault, and he would say its IMF and PPP who did all this, I am just an accountant !

I totally disagree, Pakistan is the country that need bullet train the most. We can have a train travelling @250km/hr. running between Karachi -Lahore _ Islamabad, instead of bullet.

We are spending billions on aircrafts, airports, motorways and maintenance of national highways and a non functional railway.
Just bloody politicians like to keep Pakistanis enslaved by one way or another... if railway is privatized than politicians would become irrelevant and there source of earning money would be lost.
I want to know why politicians are so affriad of privatization!

If democracy is not willing to progress than why not the liberate state policy of investment?
There shall be zero tax on building infrastructure and technology, which is no existent and more efficient.
Pakistan will earn out by shifting from low efficiency to high efficiency machines, process & operations.

There was no need of Metro Bus in Lahore too. Now they are in federal government and in these days when economy is falling we cannot afford Bullet Train. Bullet Train and Metro Bus is facility. We should spend our money on what we need the most like starting projects which will increase export of Pakistan etc.
