Its horrible to realize that like cricket scores we r having updates on death counts !
Its a shame for entire humanity.. That humans are getting murdered like this.
The worst part is that this is happening across the globe.

Bitter but its True. Condolences to the families...

Btw, the stats suggest that more civilians are getting killed than terrorists by the drones (under his permission )
but still "saint" Obama wins Nobel. How stupid.

This is how it's. Deceased counting has gone beyond any modern example of barbarity. And this is what wrong in whole war episode.

Few months back, Obama gave a fervent speech in Cairo to the Muslim World. He incessantly talked about the loss of innocent lives in Holocaust and loss of lives in 9/11 catastrophe, but, to my disappointment and many others as well, he failed to mention the number of deaths due to the Drone Attacks. And that's what you call a complete nonsense and bias.

When any army or any one regrets the loss of innocent life, I ask whose life isn't innocent? We all are innocent!!

The major threat in the region is Taleban, not Al-Qaeda, and those stats are missing. Also, are these people who specifically identify themselves as Al-Qaeda? I would love to see an account of how they distinguish between "civilian" and "Al-Qaeda".

Whether we like to admit it or not, Pakistani intelligence is a partner in many of these drone attacks, and they are quite successful most of the time. That said, I am extremely unhappy that we have to rely on foreign powers for precision attacks within our borders. We must build a capability to carry out such attacks on our own, and then take full responsibility for them.

What to say? I feel like banging my head on the wall. :hitwall:

When we are going to get rid of this terrorism thing? There's got to be a way.. :sniper:

Since early 2009, Barack Obama administration officials have been claiming that the predator attacks in Pakistan have killed nine of 20 top al-Qaeda officials, but they have refused to disclose how many civilians have been killed in the strikes.

The New York Times report it too.

Also, quoting from DAWN:

According to a report published by the Brookings Institution in July, the ratio of civilians to militants killed by drone attacks is 10:1. If the tragedy of 10 civilians dying for every Al Qaeda or Taliban operative killed is not in itself enough to force a reconsideration of the utility of drones then the fact that the capacity of the Taliban or Al Qaeda to carry out suicide attacks is unaffected by the elimination of these leaders must surely be.

According to the New York Times, from August 2008 to August 2009 there have been approximately 60 drone strikes inside Pakistani territory. The number of drone strikes roughly equalled the nearly 65 suicide bombings in Pakistan in this period. These 60 drone strikes show a 12-fold increase in the number since 2007 which saw only five drone attacks.
