Not at all, sometimes they can ambush armed intruders and can hamper there operation. Most of time, they raise an alarm.@DESERT FIGHTER
Thanks for sharing your story. Love for pets can be strong but one needs to keep in mind the safety of guests at home. Dogs are useless against armed intruders anyways if security is the objective.
I remember an incident near a home where I resided; armed intruders were passing through another home around 2 pm when a dog raised alarm but they swiftly humbled it. Silence afterwards. Not at all, sometimes they can ambush armed intruders and can hamper there operation. Most of time, they raise an alarm.
Yes,they are helpers, you can't just bank on them for security.I remember an incident near a home where I resided; armed intruders were passing through another home around 2 pm when a dog raised alarm but they swiftly humbled it. Silence afterwards.
Dogs might be a threat to an inexperienced thief but not to armed intruders with some experience. There might be some exceptional cases but real resistance come from people, not dogs.
Bro you broke my heart......Couple of years back , when my father was commanding FC ... the soldier mess butcher found a wolf cub... they tied it to a pole near the mess... (I used to go riding near the place.. MT was near it... saw it and took it home.. it was a feisty little guy... gradually it became friendly... I used to feed him with those baby bottles .... raised him for a few months... named him Jack (my first dog, a German Shepherd)... although it was friendly but not towards other people (outsiders)...
Once somebody entered the house and jack was playing ... he attacked the person and I barely controlled him...
The person was injured (it bit a chunk from his leg)... after that my father forced me to give it up... so instead of shooting it .... I had to take it to the mountains and let it go...
I still remember him chasing my vehicle ... but with a heavy heart I had to let him go... it was after all a baby that I raised..

That little guy was the only real friend I had back than.. I was in pretty bad shape n he saved me ... living in a shyt troubled place with no age fellows and no place to go except maybe the mess or driving or shooting practice .. all I had was Jack the wolf.@DESERT FIGHTER

Had no other option ... no say in the matter.. after all it’s a wild animal .. you may domesticate it a little but the inner beast comes out ... it acted like a normal dog with me n family.. but any other side ... that was a different story... he literally took a chunk of meat from that poor guys leg.. it’s way too powerful than the average dog...Bro you broke my heart......
It was really a bad decision of yours...I m depressed. You shouldn't have done that.
