After making an amendment in the law for voting, Pakistan has allowed overseas Pakistanis to vote from next general elections.
According to notification, Electoral Law Amendment Ordinance 2013 has been signed by the president Asif Ali Zardari on advice of prime minister.
Election Commission of Pakistan has been asked to take measures to vote for the elections with all Pakistanis embassies and ambassadors will assist the commission in the process.
The polling stations will be set up at least 14 days before the election day after approval of Foreign ministry. Every Pakistani living outside the country will have to register his vote in the related Pakistan embassy.
But present elections might miss votes of overseas citizens of the country as only two days remain in polling unless special measures are not taken by ECP and special orders are not issued by the president or the prime minister.
So it seems that Election 2013 will be carried out without votes of over 30 million Pakistanis living allover the globe.
