May be they are the so-called good taliban and pak army might be helping them.

This is an old video, in which a convoy of PA soldiers was intercepted, i believe there was a peace agreement at that time, so the convoy was moving through Taliban area and they were made hostage. Later freed as negotiations were conducted.

You can see a jawan taking inventory of the weapons at 2:10 - 2:05 so they can collect all of them back afterwards.

Maybe you should not speculate as such.

I'm pretty sure I saw Hakeemullah Mehsud standing in the crowd.

I thought so, but seems a look alike as there everyone keeps long hair and dressed in such a way. Quality isn't good of the video.

It seems they stopped say the prayer and move on...all they did put their guns on side......if its kinda surrender they how come a soldier is doing inventory......nothing important...

I looked but I could not see any soldier taking inventory. Sure looks like an older video, but also looks like a compromise between the Talib and the Pak army, if not an outright surrender.

Those earlier compromises / surrenders are now bearing poisonous fruits, no?

Watch from 2-10 to 2-05, a soldier passes by the taliban counting the guns laying on the ground.

It made sense back then as nobody in the public was willing to support action against them. Look at 2:10-2:05 and you will see a soldier with his webbing on counting the weapons.

I think you are too optimistic and speculating. Even caveman can tell it's a soft-surrender.

If you don't know about anything, or can't see things properly, then would be better to keep it shut.

Cavemen will see it as a surrender as he has no sense of things of such nature but the ones living out of the cave in civilization would think otherwise to be not a surrender.

As i said this is a old video which came way back, atleast 3-4 years back, at that time there was a peace agreement and the convoy was passing through the taliban area to their base, this incident took place. Soft surrenders are not like such.
