In 1991 Gulf war state of the art F-15, F-16, F-18, A-10 were shot down by Iraq 1960s obsolete SAM. The humiliation caused Bush to lose to Clinton a new name in 1992 election, an election he could have easily won otherwise because of experience and incumbency.

In 1999 Kosovo war state of the art F-117 and F-16 were shot down by Serbia 1960s obsolete SAM. The humiliation caused Clinton's deputy Gore to lose to a much weaker opponent Bush in 2000 election, an election he could have easily won otherwise because of experience and higher rank and good economy.
