The Pakistani Air Force (PAF) is to construct an air bridge in the flood-affected area of Jacobabad in Sindh province, which has been cut off from the rest of the country.

Pakistani air chief Air Marshal Rao Qamar Suleman directed the air force to start airfield operations in Sibi, Balochistan, so that relief goods can be transported by PAF C-130 aircraft in the area.

Suleman also directed PAF doctors and para-medical staff at the relief camp to provide full support to those affected by the floods, according to Xinhua News Agency.

The PAF chief advised field commanders to ensure maximum effort by both man and aircraft to conduct seamless PAF flood relief operations.
