Several armed men and a Frontier Corps (FC) soldier were killed in clashes yesterday during a search operation in various areas of Mashkay subdivision of Awaran district in Pakistan's restive Balochistan province.

Official sources said the FC had launched the operation in Jebri, Mahi and mountainous area of Mashkay after the killing of its two soldiers in a recent attack in Mashkay.

According to a spokesman of the FC, troops cordoned off the area and launched the operation on the orders of the provincial government after the banned Baloch Liberation Front (BLF) had killed two FC personnel.

He said an FC convoy was going from Khuzdar to Mashkay when it was attacked.

During the search operation, he said, FC troops raided various hideouts and killed a number of terrorists.

“An FC contingent raided various hideouts in Mashkay and adjoining areas, killed many BLF men, destroyed their two camps and recovered a huge quantity of arms and ammunition,” officials said, adding that the FC personnel also collected some evidence from the hideouts.

A soldier of the FC was killed and five others injured in a clash. “Many armed men of BLF have been killed in the gun battle in Mahi and Jebri areas of Mashkay,” they claimed.

The FC did not say how many BLF men had been killed, but sources claimed that over a dozen terrorists died and many others were injured in a heavy exchange of fire.

The sources said that around a dozen suspected BLF men had been arrested.

They also said that the gun battle was continuing in the Mahi area.

FC officials said that BLF’s terrorists and criminal groups were involved in target killings, bomb blasts, kidnappings for ransom and other heinous crimes.

“These elements are harassing the area and are involved in terrorist activities in Balochistan” he said, adding that the criminals would be brought to justice

Terror camps dismantled: Frontier Corps launches ‘operation’ in Awaran

QUETTA: One Frontier Corps (FC) official was killed and two wounded during a search operation against militants in the Awaran district of Balochistan on Tuesday. According to the Baloch National Movement (BNM), this was “a planned, full-fledged operation in which houses of residents were set on fire.”
A press release issued by the FC said that terrorists associated with the banned Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) attacked an FC convoy near Mahi village on Monday and “martyred two FC personnel in the assault.” After this, the Frontier Corps obtained permission from the provincial government and took action by launching an operation in the area surrounding Mashkay. Consequently, many terrorists were killed and two of their camps were destroyed.
According to the Frontier Corps, BLF militants – under their leader Dr Allah Nazir’s explicit directives – were egged on by anti-state elements who had been spreading terror in Khuzdar, Maskay and Makra by the way of bomb blasts, targeted killings, and kidnappings for ransom.
“FC [brought] these elements to justice and [the] people also cooperated with the FC while eliminating terrorists,” said the release.
However, BNM Central Chairman Khalil Baloch shared a different view. While speaking to the media, he said that the operation carried out in Awaran was a large scale one and even made use of helicopters.
“Security forces set the houses of people, and relatives of Dr. Allah Nazir, on fire,” he said.
Baloch appealed to human rights organizations to actively take a stance to halt the alleged “genocide” in the province.
Officials in Balochistan also confirmed that action was taken in some areas of Awaran by law enforcement agencies, but did not provide any details about losses or damages

What you need to understand here is they are pure breed of terrorists & they will kill their own people to stage or put the blame on Armed Forces.

I am happy that many terrorists were killed in the operation & I am sure BLA, BLF, BSO or any other terrorist group in Balochistan is filled with foreign terrorists just like TTP. According to my sources these terrorists are all funded & aided by foreign powers, we already know their names so no need to start a new topic on that.

I hope that the Armed forces carry out controlled operation in terrorist areas. Enough is enough many poor people are suffering in Balochistan because of these 2% terrorists, hence I hope & I pray that Armed forces carry out more operations in Balochistan to root out terrorism, it is only then Balochistan province can move forward.

People in Balochistan are completely fed up by these 2% rented terrorists.

May ALLAH help our Pak Army in fight against terrorism, AMEEN.

The media wing Balochwarna and balochhal it seems will get to work now. Dead fighters will suddenly become dead "innocent" Baloch civilians.

Reports from Dera Bugti have suggested fighters have done this in the past. Though the claims of cattle being killed in cross-fire might have been largely true.

Yes & that is what irks me to no end - Our lack of Response to that ! We lost '71 before the hostilities even began because of our inability or ineptitude to realize that it doesn't matter whether you're in the 'right' as long as the other side is busy giving their narrative to no end & winning sympathizers over ! War cannot be fought on the battlefields alone for it must be simultaneously fought in the news, in the opinion pieces, in the reports, in the videos & in general counter-propaganda perspective otherwise a military victory could end up as a defeat & a defeat could be wrapped up & shown to be a victory at best (a moral victory as they say) or at the very least giving the ability to project yourself as the victim of a dastardly attack with sympathy & aid pouring in for you to prepare for Round 2.

Our Military's & Foreign Office's inability to understand that or if they do understand it, they're lack of concrete movement on that, is most depressing !

These situations shouldn't actually arise but they do because of policies we have undertaken in the past. In the wandering falcon the author beautifully explains how much the Baloch respects his tribal head.

Thanks to Bhutto worshippers we have problems like these in our country. The most lamest of all people in this country are the bhutto worshippers. They found a Pashtunistan conspiracy, an independent Balochistan conspiracy and dissolved the elected government, locked up GM Syed. 70's was the time when insurgency was given birth in Balochistan. Thanks to a brainless monkey named Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, historical enemy of the Nationalists.

Somehow we believe the Agartala conspiracy when none of Bhutto's idiotic claims have been proven at all.

It has already started. At least on twitter.

These as$holes love to pick up guns and fight against the state. they love to attack military convoys and kill innocent civilians who travel in buses. But when their rear side is thrashed they start whining. Bunch of losers.

No mercy to those terrorists

no need for emotion
