Our Deltas, Aces and their Memorable Feats.

We Pakistanis have had a never ending love affair with three aircrafts throughout our history,the Sabres,the F16s and the Mirages. Since we grew up one aircraft always appeared on our note books and newspapers,it was the one and only ever reliable MIRAGE jet.

We never shied away in collecting any variant we could get our hands on. To date we have nearly a dozen variants with nearly half the number of sources.

Every PAF pilot is an ace but some stand out from the rest,will mention a few here.The most famous of them all Wg Cdr MM Alam later Air Cdre led the first batch of Mirage Aircrafts into Pakistan Air space in 1968 and those were Mirage-IIIEP's. His feats in the 1965 war need not to be repeated as we all know.

How can we not pay gratitude and express our love to that Mirage flyer who fought two wars gallantly, and proved that we are second to none.None other than "Group Captain Cecil Chaudhry" (Late), a man with heart of lion & sight of hawk.Our hero of Halwara.

Another ace air Cdre (R) Ab Sattar Alvi in discussion with sqn mates in front of Mirage-VPA.
He shot down the Israeli Mirage-3 with MiG-21 F13 during Arab Israel war over Golan heights. A feat no Arab nation has yet achieved.

Asim Suleman who did Simulated Attack on USAN Carrier CVN-72 and Buzzed on it's deck during "Inspired Alert 1995". His tactics were amazing ,over loaded their defence system with false radar blips while flying his Mirage at sea level(a dangerous feat), surprised and outclassed them completely .Baffled USN failed to comprehend his tactics, in their SOP no aircraft can come within 100 nm of carrier battle group.

I can go on and on about our aces and without a shadow of doubt they have always kept our heads high. But how can i not conclude without mentioning our DELTAs. I particularly liked someones comments in Urdu regarding Feb 27.

Sameen Mazhar info is wrong. He wishes he would be flying the Desert Falcon. He is currently on PC-7s at the Air College at AL Ain.

Quite a few Arab pilots shit down Israeli aircraft,Sattar Alvi is not the only one.

Also Sameen Mazhar is on trainers,not a single Pakistani pilot is flying desert falcons.
