Operation Tannenbaum (Operation Green Tree / Christmas Tree) was expected to be carried out between 1940 -1944. But it failed to materialize. Hitler had occupied almost all the German majority population areas of Europe (notable exceptions were Switzerland and Liechtenstein).

Why do you think Hitler did not invade Switzerland. One can say Switzerland had a neutral stance during the war but so did Belgium, Norway and the Netherlands. They were attacked. (Sweden was almost attacked by the allies too).

Switzerland is a small country with a very proffesional millitary. Also today, it's the central of worlds banks, and controles economy on a very high rate.
It would not be strategical for Hitler to invade Switzerland, since they are also from the same race, Hitler's soul purpose was to eliminate jews and make the rest of the world fear him. And with this, he would be feared all over the world, and he would eventually become worlds only super power.

Switzerland is a small country with a very professional military.

Swiss army is based on conscription. Not many professional soldiers there

So were the Dutch, Austrians and people of Sudetenland (in Czechoslovakia)

swiss had declared a true neutral position. so it would have been not wise to attack them untill they had dealt with british problem
but they were never able to deal with it. i think the real mistake hitler made was attacking russia. it could have made russia an alley. today the world would have been different had that happened
