Operation Opera, Where was RSAF?

In 1981,when israel attacked osiraq nuclear reacter, whole operation was conducted through the Saudi air space. All IAF F-16s n F-15s passed through Saudi airspace and one of the IAF F-16 dropped its fueltanks in Saudi desert. This whole situation shows that Saudi Forces were sleeping or they were ignoring to destroy the iraq.

Most probably they knew about the attack and prior approval was taken & given by Saudis for using the Saudi Airspace, as a Nuclear armed Iraq was itself a grave danger for the Saudi regime. So destroying of Iraqi nuclear installation was itself in favor of the Saudis and they would have given any help required.

Well one thing that I know of which I saw in a documentary was that the Israelis had complete info on the Saudi radars and they knew that which area were being kept an eye on at that particular times. I don’t know how the radars use to work then or now so I don’t know that how plausible is that theory.
Also one thing allot of people don’t talk about is the role of King Husain (the traitor) in the whole scenario. Many say that he knew and also the planes flew over Jordan to enter the Saudi area. And one thing that could have been possible is that if the planes were entering the Saudi airspace through Jordan that area might not have been under heavy scrutiny.
And also the first scenario presented by the OP could be true as the Iraqi regime were bathists and they were not in good terms with allot of neighbors as far as Pakistan.
